Hello folks its been another perfect Sunday lazy afternoon….and the heat is gearing up at gurgaon in all aspects as in global warming its freaking hot outside and it reminds me of poet Kamala Das poems hot noon in Malabar where travelers of all ages come at her porch in quest of there never ending thirst. And one more heat is of the blessing in disguise for hospitality students as 2009 was supposed to be the golden year for placements but once again global issues like falling of giant financial institutes Lehman and others at the States and too top a cherry on the cake the 26/11 attack at the Grand Old Lady of Bombay virtually moved the deep buried roots of Indian Hospitality industry which at this era was making a global presence. Indian hospitality has volumes to offer but some unwanted elements of our society has made life for the foreigners and traders visiting India think not twice but thrice to enter Indian-subcontinent for any reason. Watching Taj Mahal, Mumbai burning in flames on the national television moved me personally very much as I had very nostalgic emotions for that hotel and also all the hospitality fraternity deeply mourned this well orchestrated act of terrorism but salute to NSG commandos and the never ending spirit of service by the staff of the hotel for there out of duty call and special tribute to the gentle-man who is the general manager of the hotel Mr.Karambir Kang who lost her wife and children and still was on duty the next day. Running short of words these people are the real heroes.
But
Its never to late to start a new inning and for all this renaissance I owe to someone and I won’t name that person as I am quiet apprehensive about unwanted publicity so let it be within me. So it’s the time to act and perform or get perished. I as an individual feel very much confident that this bad phase will pass very soon its just that we need to be strong from within and not to loose patient. Get inspired from someone who rose from the rags to riches and we need not spend money to buy management or autobiographies to learn about them as we can see many such around us. Its just we need to change the way we look and take things given. And lastly as I always say “scarcity leads to invention” as I dare to dream big even in this crisis I guess I am falling in love with these times….so folks don’t waste money on fat motivational books….help yourself….be self-employed!!!!!
